Extra! Extra! Review-sort of- One for the Money

Okay, this is not exactly a review and the fact that I went to a matinee and came home and had a double Manhatten cocktail has nothing what so ever to do with my conclusions.

I liked it!  a lot!  I thought Katherine Hagle did a fine job of bringing Stephanie Plum to life.  She was not my first choice for the role; for the past 17 odd years my choice was Sandra Bullock but probably Sandra got too old to play the young Stephanie.    Anyhow, Morelli was spot-on, Lula was absolutely true to the book.  I don’t see Ranger in this guy or Grandma Mazur in Debbie Reynolds.  The piece was well acted and Evanovich fans have to be happy that finally Hollywood listened and brought these fab books to the screen.  I’m sincerely hoping for more of the books in movie format.  I’d love to see “Seventeen” on the big screen.   BTW, REX was supurb in his role.

I think I will have to actually go to the movies to see this. I really loved the book (and rec’ed it already to some peeps). Thanks for the review!!

    • Well, it has been years since I read the book so I can’t say how true to the book the movie was. But I did think it was a fun movie. It could have been a little funnier if they had got Grandma right.

I’m glad to hear that you liked it, Dot. The reviews I’ve read have been dismal. :(
