Ever since I read and loved Laura Kayes’s novella, HEART’S IN DARKNESS, I have wanted to read more by this author. I did read her NORTH OF NEED, but then didn’t pick up anything until this novella was recommended.
I was not blown away by this novella. The characters lacked a depth that I needed to involve myself in their story. I am a Paranormal Romance fan and this offering just didn’t live up to my expectations. The writing was good. Laura Kaye can write sizzling sex and for that it rates high also. I am interested in giving another novella in this series a read since I do enjoy Ms. Kaye’s writing. This novella was an okay read but Ms. Kaye has written better.
Thanks for the review. I just might be interested in reading one of Ms Kaye’s books. 🙂
