Description from Amazon.com:

Dr. Rhys Gray and Miss Margaret Babcock are friends—strictly friends. But over the course of the year, as they exchange dozens of letters, they share personal details that put them on the path to something more. When Dr. Gray helps Margaret realize her dearest dream and she comes to his defense in the uproar that follows, it seems that their connection cannot be denied. But will their relationship stand the scruples of society and jealous intendeds, or are they destined to be only friends, and nothing more?

**

If you like your plots with a few surprises then you will like this book.  It is also filled with a friends to lovers theme which will cause you to shout at the hero and heroine.  Not in an angry way, no, you will just want them to realize how they truly feel for each other.  There are some interesting developments that kept me turning pages as it will for you also.  I won’t divulge here because I don’t want to give any spoilers but you will like it I’m sure.

Margaret Babcock is all about her interest in roses.  She hybridizes them and is looking forward to presenting her findings to the London Horticultural Society.  Rhys Gray is a physician who has encouraged Margaret in her botany pursuits and arranges for her to present her findings to the Society.  Rhys and Margaret correspond frequently and have a strong friendship. This is a standalone novel with characters from the previous books in the series making appearances and participating in the story. There is action and sexual tension and some very real doubts about an HEA.  This is a terrific series and I encourage you to delve into it.
