I’ve been a very good girl this year. At least up until today. Maybe I just have too much Christmas Spirit.

Now this is my idea of a fun way to drink my wine. Usually I favor Pinot Grigio but in these settings I may have to go with a Pinot Noir or Merlot or even two fingers of a single malt. completely ensconced in my book I may not even notice the famous author sitting by the fire.

Someone pumped laughing gas into the Riot headquarters. That’s the only explanation for this post.
So what happened is, someone (ahem…Jeff) mentioned that Me Before You also makes for awful sex advice. And that just opened the floodgates. I only take responsibility for a few of these…and I’m not saying which ones.

I promise, the fact that there are 69 of these is purely coincidence.
I posted this back in 2013 but I do still giggle about it.
It is that time of the year when I usually tell you about my favorite books of the year but this year there were at least 45!!! If you go to my header up above and click on “Deet’s Favorite Reads of…” you will see the entire list. You can then go to the search box and find the reviews for them.
Goodreads has done a fabulous job of putting together my stats and showing the book covers for the ones that I read. This is really fun to look at so I encourage you to take a look. You will get some good recommendations here, all on one page.
I did fall in love with some stunning book covers too. Here are a few of my favorites:
This cover just shouts Regency Era. I love it.
I don’t know who this model is, but isn’t that the most sinful look you’ve ever seen?
I love this one for the color, my favorite.
Besides loving this book and series, this cover gets my vote for the book cover that relates most to the story and it’s pretty.
Okay this one was a terrific, 5-star book with the worst cover ever!!!
We have all said these things…..sigh (just skip the ad)

At my house we pretend to be Irish every March 17th. This is how we pretended this year. YUM!
I started early in the afternoon making Irish Soda Bread.
Bubble, bubble certainly no trouble. Corned Beef, cabbage, red potatoes, carrots.
Tender and lean sliced like a dream.
All the preparation came to a close at dinner time.
