Gotta love Buzzfeed’s Idea of a Merry Christmas

Um-m …yes…Tis’ the season to remember “Sexy Man Tuesday”.  Old time followers will remember and every now and then I become overcome with nostalgia for the early days of this blog.  Buzzfeed played right into this feeling. If you would like to reminisce about the good ole Tuesday posts just click on any month in 2012 in the left column or do a search in the box for Sexy Man Tuesday. For more Buzzfeed see below.

How to tell if you are in a Regency Novel

Regency Edmund_Blair_Leighton_-_On_the_Threshold

1. You are either a virgin or a sad and lovely widow whose husband was lost at sea. You are spirited, but still passing ladylike.

2. Your father is away in the colonies protecting his tobacco interests, or a bumbling idiot, or a gambler. His character flaws lead to you becoming betrothed to a man you’ve never met.

3. Your dance card is filled up with the names of eligible gentlemen who are excessively unattractive.

4. You have a maiden aunt who despairs of you. You have a gaggle of sisters of marriageable age and they are all silly.

5. You are an incorrigible womanizer and you have lived in France. You are squandering your sizeable inheritance on loose women and card tables. You may very well be a pirate.

Book infograficThis is a really terrific info graphic showing great authors work, at what age they wrote their breakthrough book, how many they wrote before the breakthrough, when they died (if they are dead) and books written posthumously.  If any of these authors interest you, you can get a list of all their books right there.  Go ahead, take a look, I think you will be as fascinated as I am.

Heads-Up Holiday Romance Book Reviews Ahead

sexy santa-IMG_1395

From now until the end of 2012 I will be posting holiday themed romance book reviews.  Some have been great and some not so good but all deal with Christmas or the holiday season.  I think this must be a big sell time for these types of books because they seem to be everywhere on the bookstore shelves and on the book seller websites.  And I’ve been culling some from the used bookstore.  My favorites turn out to be an anthologyand a novel.  I’m sure when you read the reviews you will know which one it is. Here is a sample of the books I will review.
