Once again I’m jumping in on a series, this time with book #6.  But guess what, this book was easily a standalone novel.  Even though it was obvious that much had gone on in previous books I never felt confused or left out. Yay!  If I had realized this was book #6 I might not have read it, but I didn’t realize, and I’m so glad I didn’t make the mistake of setting it aside.

Jase, a powerful vampire, has a tortured past, literally tortured when he was captured by demons and imprisoned for 5 years.  Now he is on a mission for revenge and he has been requested by the witches’ coven to mate with Brenna, since the mating of the two might heal her poisoning. Jase is amenable to this idea since he could get some of Brenna’s power which would aid him in fighting the demons. Neither expected nor wished to fall in love….uh-huh. Evil side characters are truly vile and some even appear to be redeemable.

This is a page turning book, chock-a-block full of hot male vampires, sizzling steamy sex scenes, kick ass women and non stop action.  Everything I like in a Paranormal romance.  Now I’m going to back track and start this series from the beginning. Can’t wait to give it a go.
