They first met in Brighton when her brother owed a debt to him and he agreed to take a kiss from her for payment of the brother’s debt.  Now five years later he has come home to find that she lives in the same village and thinks he is there to collect the debt.

If this sounds like a typical predictable romance novel you are in for a nice surprise.  This author has developed Characters that live and breathe on these pages.  She has taken the romantic triangle premise from Austen’s SENSE AND SENSIBILITY and made it her own while at the same time giving much credit to Ms Austen.  She has taken familiar tropes such as sibling estrangement and shown how maturity can lead to family harmony. This is an author to watch.  I highly recommend this historical romance and this author.
